Tibetan - The Art of Mindful Transformation: Navigating the Path to Enlightenment
Dzigar Kongtrul Rinpoche was born into a noble dharma family in Northern India. His father was the third incarnation of tertön Chogyur Lingpa, while Rinpoche’s first teacher, his mother, was a renowned practitioner, who completed thirteen years of solitary retreat. Rinpoche’s root guru, Kyabje Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche, and the 16th Gyalwa Karmapa recognized him as an incarnation of Jamgon Kongtrul Lodro Thaye, a renowned master of the Rime, or non-sectarian tradition, in 19th century Tibet.
Rinpoche moved to the United States in the late 80’s and held the first Wisdom Chair at Naropa University, where he taught for five years. During that period, Rinpoche founded Mangala Shri Bhuti (MSB), a sangha of the Longchen Nyingtik Lineage, and established a long-term retreat center and home to the Sangdo Palri Temple of Wisdom and Compassion, in Crestone, CO. MSB has centers in the US, Japan, Brazil, Ireland, Bhutan, and India. Kongtrul Rinpoche is the author of numerous books, and when not teaching or furthering his own education, spends his time in retreat. His website is mangalashribhuti.org
